Dear Editor: According to a successful marketing executive, there are several steps that must be achieved to pass the FairTax.

The first is to create awareness: From awareness, the opportunity to educate emerges. Then increase understanding. Of those being aware of the FairTax, many of them have formed opinions based on lies, misinformation and disinformation; they must be educated to understand the facts and the full implications of the FairTax. Greater understanding of the facts creates followers and supporters, and converts "Black Knights" into evangelists. (It is important to note that unless these three phases occur in this order, what follows won't!) Attitudes will form; belief and commitment are the basis upon which attitudes take shape. Without belief, there is little attitude beyond that of apathy, at best, or sycophancy, at worst. Actualized behavior follows, since action typically echoes attitude.

In order to ramp into a national avalanche of support and campaign activities, we offer a toolbar which, when downloaded and used, will resolve these problems. It is free, and is there is no spyware, adware or malware of any kind. Visit fairtax.freecause.org/welcome.

It allows for the seamless and easy support of the FairTax cause at no cost to its supporters, but instead, it passively generates revenue for the FairTax whenever it is used as a search engine and for shopping. Show me someone who is aware and understands the facts about the FairTax, and I will show you a new FairTax recruit. The toolbar WILL make this happen.

FairTax Fact: Did you know, according to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), more than $3.5 billion in taxes is owed by almost half a million Federal employees and retirees? Of the nearly half-million Federal employees, 1,000 work on Capitol Hill. How can we expect Americans throughout the country to decipher our complex tax code when those who are helping to legislate the tax code are themselves confused?
